All of a sudden, you feel something pounding out of your chest. A thump, a thump, a thump. Your heart seems to be beating rapidly yet the intensity of the heartbeats don't seem to lessen either.

And then it stops.

Your chest now feels surprisingly empty and cold. You can't help but wonder what happened? If you open your shirt (if you're wearing one) to look and see if something happened there, and you'll now find a gaping heart-shaped hole in your chest. Somehow, you're still alive? Oh right, no one can die at the moment! But you're still a lot more healthy than you'd expect considering your heart is missing from your body, no blood is pouring out, and there isn't a ton of pain though it does feel uncanny and uncomfortable. You can definitely notice it missing and you might occasionally feel like poking at the hole.

Where did that go anyway?

Well, the glass case in front of you isn't empty anymore. What's in there is a crystal heart that seems to be radiating warmth and the heartbeats vibrate through the glass. Hey! That's yours, isn't it?

You can't help but feel like breaking it is a bad idea. After all, what happens if your heart stops, but you can't die?
